Bladder or Bowel

As many as 1 in 3 women experience pelvic floor problems at some point in their lives. Most commonly these problems occur during pregnancy / after birth, or later on in life when women experience the menopause but they can occur at any age. These can have a big impact on your quality of life and self-confidence but it doesn’t have to be this way. Women’s Health Physiotherapy has been shown to be highly successful in resolving these problems. I am able to treat a wide range of pelvic floor issues including:

  • Leaking during exercise or with coughing, sneezing, laughing, lifting etc.

  • An urgency to empty your bladder or your bowels

  • Leaking urine or stools if you don’t reach the toilet in time

  • A frequency to go to the toilet (more than 8 times in 24 hours)

  • Difficulty holding on to wind

  • Constipation

  • Difficulty emptying your bladder or bowels properly

  • Wind from the vagina, especially when moving from certain positions
